Trowels and Handpicks go Together Like Bake Sales and Movie Nights

Hey Everyone!
Thanks for your support at our last few lectures and our Indiana Jones Movie Night!! It was great to see so many new faces and get to know fellow archaeologists/archaeology enthusiasts. We've had great turnouts at the meetings and are always appreciative of new ideas so if you haven't come to a meeting yet it's not too late! We'll keep you updated on when and where you can find us brainstorming about the future of the society and archaeology at uOttawa.
Our next two events are as follows:

Tuesday, November 16 we are having a bake sale to raise money for field work scholarships (come support!). If you are interested in baking for the event or showing off your sales skills at some point during the day please let me know at sauo.uoas@gmail.com. The more the merrier, especially when it comes to cookies (am I right???)!

Thursday, November 18 we are having another movie night to celebrate the artifact-finding skills of Lara Croft! And this time we'll have popcorn!!! Admission will be by donation, snacks will be for sale and Angelina Jolie will be on screen in all her spandex-and-leathered glory. So grab some friends and drag them down to the depths of Café Alt for what is sure to be a good night.

Also, if coming to visit the bog is, like, too much work or something (ohmigosh, but it looks so good!) or if you want to see who else is interested in archaeology at uOttawa, join our facebook group.
